New Years Resolutions - Update the BLOG every once in a while ;o)

Okay - so we have not been so good at keeping the blog updated but this year we are going to try and do a much better job. The next few posts will be catch up and then we will try to keep things up to date.

A little bit of adventure

AJ and Rich took a week at the begining of October 2008 and went exploring and hiking in Southern Utah. We found some great indian rock art, ruins, and some great nature views!



We hiked to the top of San Juan hill along the route that the Mormon pioneers followed with their wagons - it is amazing to think that they were able to make it up there. If you look close in the top left of picture you can see our truck down below.

Rich really enjoys photography and had a great time looking for cool pictures like this one of an old buick and twin rocks in the background.

Soccer anyone?

AJ and Brooke are really enjoying soccer. They both decided to get a little more serious this year and try out for the competition team instead of playing on the regular recreation league.

Unfortunatly for Mom and Dad, they both made it! Now we get to take them to soccer practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - goalie training for Brooke on Monday, and games for Brooke and AJ on Friday and Saturday (except for the weeks when they are playing in tournaments - then they could have games on Wed, Thur, Fri, or Sat).

Despite the amazing time commitment we are having a great time. AJ is really playing well and Brooke continues to excell!

Brooke loves to play forward (offense - scoring!) and goalie.

And then came Marley (the dog)

Brooke has been so anxious to get a dog and we have been telling her - after we get into our new house... The day we moved in she started the "get a dog" crusade!

We took a famiy trip to the animal shelter and this is what we came away with (1 1/2 years old and house trained!!! Wooohoo!).

The kids named her Marley (actually, her full name is Marley 'the dog' Hathaway).

In the House (finally)

Well, it has taken us a while but we are finally in our home in Utah! The kids are excited to have rooms again and Shana is excited to get just the right furniture to fill the space!

So after seeing some of your cool blogs out there, we finally decided it was time for us to do one also. We have been gone from New Jersey for almost a year now and I apologize that I have not done a better job at keeping in touch. We miss our wonderful friends, but are enjoying being closer to most of our family. It has been quite a roller coaster ride for our family this past year, but we are looking forward to things settling down.
